Collaboration = Inspiration
I had the opportunity to work with my extremely talented cousin, Kathleen, in August. The wedding was one of her good friends from college. Oddly enough, her now husband was a lifeguard I worked with at the Student Aquatic Center during my undergraduate studies. Very small world. Below are some shots of our work together. Kathleen's brand is Edna K Creative Services, she is ridiculously talented and works out of Birmingham, AL. I highly recommend her if you are in the area!!
The colors were blue and yellow and, I have to say, I was very much surprised at how incredible these arrangements and floral installations came to be. I'm not the biggest fan of yellow, but it continues to surprise me every time I work with it.
This collaboration was amazing. Not only is it a great way to gain exposure to different florist styles but it is also so fun to share to the love of flowers with others! I had such a fun time with my cousin and I hope we are able to collaborate in the future. I feel fortunate to have her in my life, Kathleen, she has always been an inspiration to me. We grew up together and it is really fun getting together now as florists and sharing our love for flowers together.
